Pegasus Juniors 1 Southall Town 2

PEGASUS failed in their bid to finish their Cherry Red Records Hellenic League home programme with a double when they lost their final match at the Leisure Centre, all the goals coming in the first 20 minutes.

The Londoners rocked Pegasus in the 11th minute when the home defence failed to clear a corner and Steve Newing side-footed home from close range. Two minutes later the visitors extended their lead when former Pegasus player Rory Smith was unchallenged as he headed home another corner.

Pegasus hit back and Neil Hotchkiss made a surging run through midfield to link with Mark Davis who drew the goalkeeper before providing Leigh Harris with a simple tap in.

The home side continued to have the better of play and created more chances but they were frustrated by a solid defence and poor finishing. They should have levelled but Davies, Harris and Darren Jones missed when well placed.
