Possibly the most challenging and exciting piece of theatre by a company of visually impaired actors that has ever been staged arrives in Hereford shortly.

New Life Theatre Company from Zagreb, Croatia has taken a book of Russian short stories and created a highly physical, absurdist piece, brimming over with energy and humour.

described

For the first time ever - in this country and abroad - a foreign language production will be supported with a simultaneous audio language and audio description facility.

It would usually just be blind audiences who have an experience of the technical support of audio description within theatres, providing descriptions of visual action, sets and characters on stage.

By broadening this service to include language translation for the production the company aims to raise awareness by transforming essential access needs into a unique shared experience between the blind and sighted audience.

The tour moves to Hereford Courtyard Theatre on November 12-13 direct from Sadler's Wells Theatre London. For tickets contact 01432 359252.
