Countryside issues have never been a hotter topic and Mad Dogs Theatre Company's forthcoming production of John Galsworthy's 'The Skin Game' tackles the fight for traditional values in rural England head on.

"Although written eighty odd years ago, nothing much has changed," said director, Paul Murray.

"Famous for 'The Forsyte Saga' Galsworthy wrote some terrific plays about social issues that are still at the heart of our lives."

Set in Edwardian England the play explores the differences between the landowner and the invading industrialist.

This production features a strong cast - Jeff Kramer, Stephanie Austwick and Andrew Hewitt - with the influx of fresh blood in Sarah Fletcher, Lucy Marston and Luke Thompson.

'The Skin Game' is sure to strike local chords and excite conflicting passions when it's performed at Leominster's Lion Ballroom on Saturday, October 19; All Saints Church, Hereford on October 25-26; Woolhope Village Hall on November 1 and Market Theatre, Ledbury on November 2.

All performances start at 8pm and tickets will be available from each venue on the evening or from The Paperback Exchange, Hereford in advance.

The company is searching for a tiger skin, horns and foxes' heads to complete the authentic set design. If you can help, telephone Paul Murray on 01432 268455.
