THE top-price cow at a sale of pedigree Holsteins was purchased by Miles Hope Farms, Tenbury Wells.
The animal, Tregare Marconi Maisie sold for £1,040 at the sale of the Tregare pedigree herd at Llwyn-y-Gaer Farm, Raglan, for Glyn and Ian Williams.
The second highest price of £1,020 was paid by J B and M Williams of Pontrilas. A further ten animals sold for over £900 and 21 made £800 and above.
The machinery sold well with £5,700 paid for a Massey Ferguson 365 tractor, £3,600 for a Reco Gallignani round baler, £2,800 for a Farmhand mobile mill and mix, and £3,300 for a bulk milk tank.
The auctioneers were Williams Parry Richards.
