FWAG are holding two events discussing some of the conservation issues in Herefordshire and the various grant schemes available to fund environmental work on farms.
The first day is on February 13 at the Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome and New House Farm where farmers will be able to look at the work that John and Janet Pudge propose to carry out under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, including orchard restoration, tree management and arable field margins.
The second event is on February 27 at Court Farm, Pontrilas courtesy of Richard and Joy James, where farmers can see some of the habitat management work done in recent years including watercourses, banksides, field margins, grassland, hedgerows and arable crops.
The days start at 11am. Cost is £5 to include lunch. Please call Janet Lomas 01684 578857 for February 13 and Caroline Hanks 01981 251016 for February 27.
