MADAM, I was pleased that, after 10 years, the brownfield site on Centurion Way was going to be partly used.
However, I and others living in the area are dismayed at the building the council has allowed:
it is much too high - why do they need a three-storey building to sell cars? It has obscured the view and is way above the height of other industrial building in the vicinity.
It is on an already dangerous road junction with the ugly tower intended to catch the eye making it more dangerous.
According to the UDP, the people of Munstone and district are to be subjected to 10 or more years of this treatment.
Even though the destruction of Munstone valley attracted the most objections in the council's survey, from what I see of the way they work they will totally ignore local people and go ahead anyway.
We have an election coming. I and many others who have not been involved with local politics before, will be working to get this uncaring and undemocratic council removed.
STEVE WATKINS,
Munstone Road, Hereford.
