A HEREFORD garden centre has won its seventh gold medal for the meadow inspired 'Globe Garden' at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Wyevale Garden Centre opted for a Caribbean display with a West Indian-style wooden house with shuttered windows, door and a tin-roofed porch, setting the scene for lush tropical planting.
A simple Caribbean-style emerges with pockets of herbs, fruit and vegetables making the courtyard garden practical amongst the hot colours and bold foliage of the exotic plants.
Reclaimed artefacts provide some of the features with a cable reel and copper water feature giving the garden a sense of character.
Wyevale employed the services of Julie Toll who used her love of tropical plants to design the prize-winning garden.
