Durham School 17 pts Hereford Cathedral School 12

DESPITE leading throughout, Cathedral School bowed out of the Daily Mail Under-15 Cup at the quarter-final stage after conceding a breakaway try in injury-time.

James Lewis opened the scoring with a try which was converted by Perry Pudge, but Durham immediately piled on the pressure and hit back with an unconverted try in the corner.

The visitors controlled the game after the break and eventually winger Fred Anthony streaked clear to score their second try.

With eight minutes left, the home side cut Cathedral's lead to 12-10 with a controversial try from the outside-half, who appeared to drop the ball, and Durham then snatched victory with a converted try after the visitors lost possession whilst on the attack.

lBishop's warmed up for their Luctonians' Anglo/Welsh Schools' Cup final against Monmouth School with a convincing 24-0 away win over QEH Bristol. Harry Bricknell (2), Laurence Fox and Ross Griffiths scored tries for Bishop's, while Rob Young kicked two conversions.
