MICHELLE Harper from Perth, Western Australia, has emailed me in search of some help with her family history.

"I am trying to locate my mum's biological mother whose maiden name was Ethel Beatrice Arnold and she was originally from Liverpool," writes Michelle. "The last known place for Ethel was Herefordshire and Ludlow and she remarried sometime after 1951 and had a son called Roland. I don't know the surname of the person she married and I am desperate to find her!!"

Michelle has sent me a picture of Ethel and her daughter June (from her first marriage to Norman Sidney Nix) and it was taken in 1945. (Picture shown in HT 6/2/2003)
