Ledbury Town 0 Tipton Town 4

LEDBURY were without four regular defenders and were unable to halt the winning run of West Midlands League Premier Division title-chasers Tipton.

A tacky surface made life difficult for both teams and, although Ledbury had their fair share of possession and territory, they did not create any clear-cut chances.

Tipton opened the scoring in the 21st minute when they cleared a Ledbury corner to sweep down the other end and beat goalkeeper Adam Ding with a well-taken strike.

Within minutes a general brawl resulted in a Ledbury player being red- carded for retaliation.

A depleted Ledbury should have got back on terms when Phil Preedy made a fine break down the left to get behind the Tipton defence, but his low cross was missed by two colleagues with the goal at their mercy.

Ledbury went two down in the 70th minute when Ding was beaten to a through-ball by a Tipton striker.

As Ledbury pushed up to try to salvage something from the game, they were twice caught on the break as the visitors completed a comfortable win.
