Malvern Town Res 4 Hinton 3
DIVISION 1 South leaders Hinton surrendered a three-goal interval lead to crash to their second successive West Midlands League defeat.
Chris Gough opened the scoring with an early 12-yard strike and just before the break Hinton hit two goals in as many minutes. John Williams fired home a cross from Mike Meadows and minutes later provided the through-ball for Phil Glover to hit the target with a crisp 18-yard drive.
Luke Semple and Darren Birch were foiled by an excellent double save at the start of the second half before Hinton lost their rhythm and Malvern, who had always been in the game, started to hit back.
They scored four goals in the final quarter to claim an unlikely victory.
Hinton manager Paul Chapman commented: "The youngsters were disappointed but will learn from this setback, and I know that they will bounce back."
