Hereford Pegasus Ladies bowed out of the Herefordshire & Worc-estershire County Wom-en's Cup at the quarter-final stage after a 2-1 away defeat against Redditch United.
The Hereford outfit played with a determination not seen in recent games and deservedly opened the scoring with a well-taken goal from Yvette Greenhouse on half-an-hour.
Redditch hit back to draw level just after the interval and, although Pegasus threw players forward in search of a winner, the home side defended resolutely.
The visitors then suffered a major blow when Redditch broke away and snatched victory with a second goal.
