WYE Valley Runners star Mike Fawcett claimed an unprecedented fourth successive championship victory in the Herefordshire Cross Country League.
The outstanding Fawcett rounded off the season with an emphatic win in the final event of the five-race series in muddy woodland near Presteigne.
Fawcett won a total of three races this campaign, helping the Wye Valley Runners to reclaim the men's team title that they surrendered to Ludlow Runners last season.
Ludlow Runners women's team emulated last season's achievement by their men's section by winning the championship for the first time.
The overall women's champion, Jane Rowlands, achieved a runaway win in her section to help the Ludlow Runners team to championship glory by one point from Hereford Couriers, with Wye Valley Runners in third place.
The season draws to a close with the annual relay championships at West-hope on March 2.
