RESIDENTS of two market towns are getting the opportunity and encouragement to do something for their community.
Grants of up to £600 are being made available to groups in Bromyard and Ledbury through the Market Towns Initiative and Regeneration Partnership.
In Bromyard the partnership as already approved a project to help fund a range of schemes including purchasing equipment, training and developing publicity.
Mayor of Bromyard Joan Dauncey said: "We are hopeful that this opportunity to fund small projects throughout the Bromyard area will be a great success. Small community groups often aren't able to secure funding and these grants will help them get their ideas off the ground."
Groups can apply for up to £600 or 75 per cent of the total cost of the project by calling Nick Webster, for Bromyard, on 01432 260064 and Wayne Langford, for Ledbury, on 07813 159761.
