MADAM, After reading your story "Group halted in tracks" on the internet, I find myself amazed and disappointed.

Here we have a group of young people who, instead of hanging around street corners and experimenting in the local drug scene, are trying to do something important.

It would appear the council is not helping them with their endeavours. I wonder will the council sit up and take responsibility, when these young people find nowhere else to practice their music, finally give up, become disillusioned and themselves find other ways to stave off boredom?

As a former Leominster resident, I have seen many unused properties turning to decay in the town, surely one could be made of use to these boys?

Come on Leominster, support your young people, show them you care! If one day they do make it to the dizzy heights of fame without your support, you will certainly have no problem then with taking a "pat on the back".

N RYAN,

Vancouver, Canada.
