Ledbury visitors to the United States are promised a warm welcome at a restaurant in San Francisco.
Thirteen-year-old Jay Rich, the grandson of Ledbury Tourist Information Centre officer Sue Stone, was admiring the paintings on the wall in the Pinecrest Restaurant in a leisurely moment during a recent American holiday.
Jay lives in London and at first could not figure out why one picture in particular seemed so familiar.
Then it dawned on him - "That's where my Nan lives!" he said.
The restaurant owner, Kirya Kyriakos, explained to Jay that he knew the painting was of somewhere in England, but had not known exactly where. It had been given to him as a present.
Mr Kyriakos added that he was extremely fond of the painting, which shows a view of cobbled Church Lane.
Any Ledbury people planning to visit San Francisco and seeking a glimpse of home while they are away should note that Mr Kyriakos' restaurant is at 401, Geary Street.
