Ledbury Thirds travelled to Luctonians with a side which was a little light on experience, but with loads of youthful exuberance.
LUCTONIANS III 50pts, LEDBURY III 0
The home pack dwarfed the visitors' and from the first scrummage, Ledbury realised that they were desperately short of weight and experience.
The first quarter of the game saw Ledbury defending resolutely, and with the odd lineout going Ledbury's way, they were staying well in touch, but once the Luctonians backs began to attack in earnest, the Ledbury three quarters were badly exposed.
Poor first time tackling allowed Luctonians to run in four tries in the opening half.
Playing down the slope in the second half, Ledbury managed to camp in the opposition 22 for brief periods, but were unable to capitalise, as the home pack were so dominant in the set scrummages.
A series of injuries meant that Ledbury were reduced to 14 men for much of the second half , and Luctonians again capitalised with a further four tries.
Not the most memorable afternoons's rugby for the Ledbury players, although many of the youngsters in the side showed great determination and never gave up.
