PRACTICAL ways to achieve conservation will be explored at an event for farmers at the Hop Pocket in Bishop's Frome on Thursday, February 13.
It is the first of two events looking at the various grant schemes available to fund environmental work on farms organised by FWAG. Farmers will be able to look at the work John and Janet Pudge propose to carry out at the Hop Pocket under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
The second event is on February 27 at Court Farm, Pontrilas, when farmers can see habitat management work.
The days start at 11am and cost £5 to include lunch. Pre-booking is essential.
Call Janet Lomas 01684 578857 for the February 13 course and Caroline Hanks 01981 251016 for February 27.
