VOWCHURCH Hall was crowded for the launch of a book on the history of the Eskleyside Agricultural Society.
The book, entitled Reflections, has been written by Grace Davies and Cecil Pritchard, who collected and collated information and old photographs tracing the history of the society back to its inauguration in 1897.
The book encompasses much about the lives of the people of the area, with the ploughing society and its many activities, members and competitors at the centre. The book is available from the printers, Imagin Design and Print, telephone 01981 550164, priced at £10.
