ENGINEER Bill Horton, known to dairy farmers throughout Herefordshire and adjoining counties, said farewell to many of them on Friday during an open day at Dairy Supplies (Hereford) Ltd at Newmarket Street, Hereford.
Bill, aged 65, was working his last day with the firm after serving a lengthy 43 years with them. Before he joined Dairy Supplies, he was a dog handler with the Army, based in Malta.
Bill of Elm Cottage, Much Birch, worked as an engineer with Dairy Supplies, installing and servicing equipment.
A presentation that will mark his retirement is to be made by the management at a later date.
