IT was yet another form to fill in over the winter but more than 1,800 Leominster residents took time to complete it. Herefordshire Council has thanked them for their efforts.
The council's research team says it is pleased with the number of people who responded to the postal Housing Needs Survey sent out in January - some 36 per cent - and with the quality of the responses.
Housing research officer Ruth Lovelace said: "We would like to thank Leominster residents for their time and trouble in completing this survey.
"Where we ask for general comments many people have clearly put a lot of careful thought into their responses. "
After the data has been analysed, the research team will produce a report, expected at the end of March, which will help shape local housing and planning policies.
Copies will be sent to the town council, the Info in Herefordshire Office, and Leominster library. Members of the public can also request copies.
