Hereford United 2 Malvern Town 0
HEREFORD United moved three points clear at the top of the Midland Floodlit Under-18 Youth League Southern Division with a hard-fought home win.
After an even first-half, the Bulls took the lead on 60 minutes when Paul Collins broke down the left and crossed for Lewis Jones, who scored at the second attempt after his initial effort had been blocked by a visiting defender.
The visitors then forced United goalkeeper Adam Ding into making a couple of decent saves before the Bulls sealed the points with a crucial second goal.
Hereford substitute James Wood cut inside from the right and set up a shooting chance for skipper Simon Gwilliam who planted an unstoppable low drive into the bottom corner.
