BREAKFAST is a recipe for exam success at John Kyrle High, Ross-on-Wye - served as part of the school's GCSE support programme.
Having tucked in, students get a 30-minute 'taster' on the subject they are about to sit.
But the 'Breakfast Boosters' aren't all.
The school's appetite for raising aspirations extends to parents too. Mum and dad get lessons in how to help those students revise, relax and prepare.
Head Nigel Griffiths said support and encouragement for students and parents is 'integral' to the school's principle of continual improvement.
With a testing summer in mind, Year 11 went to workshops in accelerated learning at the Ross-based Leadership Trust last week.
Optimistically, instruction on university application and looks at life on campus were included in the sessions.
Next up is a four-day Easter study school.
John Kyrle students achieved record GCSE results last year.
