STUDENTS at a Bromyard school had an extra week's holiday after half term when buildings had to be closed due to emergency repairs.
Years seven and eight at Queen Elizabeth High School enjoyed the extended break when heating pipes were found leaking causing major repairs to be undertaken.
Head teacher Pat Jewkes said: "It is something we would choose to avoid but unfortunately it took five days to get the heating back on in that block. The students were obviously very upset but we are just pleased to have them back."
