MADAM, The Government has produced a White Paper proposing increased production of electricity from sustainable sources.
What is the point of grand schemes for wind generation etc, when shops are allowed to waste electricity by keeping their doors wide open even in the coldest weather with a heater full on just inside?
One day last week when it was extremely cold, I counted eight shops with their doors open in the short stretch of High Town from the Butter Market to Gomond Street.
How about Hereford setting an example to the rest of the UK by banning this practice?
