Save the Children will benefit from donations given at a thanksgiving service for the life of Dr Desmond Burrowes, who was a Ledbury GP for many years.
The service was held at St Michael and All Angels' Church on January 18 and donations amounted to £1,245.
Mrs Ann Burrowes thanked people who attended and said the charity would spend the money on health care, where the need is greatest.
