THE Radnorshire Society's Field Section opened its 2003 calendar with its annual lunch on Sunday at the Park Motel, Crossgates From March until September there will be monthly outdoor meetings, successively centred on Gladestry, Walton, Knighton, Coxhead Bank Common (midsummer picnic), Llandrindod Wells and Castle Collen, Wye Valley and Knill and Brampton. Leading those meetings will be Sadie Cole, Anne Goodwin, Dai Hawkins, Joy Ashton, Norma Baird-Murray, Marjorie Oakley, Tom Lewis and Gwyneth Guy. The section will hold its annual meeting on Friday, October 17, at the Offa's Dyke Centre, Knighton at 7pm, when the business will be followed by an illustrated talk entitled 'Eliza and the Admiral', given by Beryl Lewis. To end the year, the annual quiz will be held at the Severn Arms, Penybont, on Friday, November 14, at 7pm. Officers of the section are: Tom Lewis, chairman; Anne Goodwin, secretary; Joy Ashton, treasurer; Robert Hughes, editor.
