Hereford United must start to win at home if they are to sustain a Conference challenge warns manager Graham Turner.

The Bulls tackle Northwich Victoria at Edgar Street tonight (7.45) still chasing a home run to match their fine away form.

With just five goals from six games and two wins under their belts Hereford have relied on away matches to keep them in the top five but that has to change says Turner.

The Bulls can move joint third with Doncaster Rovers with victory this evening and have an added incentive after losing at Burton Albion on Friday.

"We have got to bounce back it's as simple as that and we have to get some sort of home record going," said Turner.

"If we are to have any kind of success we have got to win our home games and so far we have not been over dominant in matches at Edgar Street.

"Tonight's match is our game in hand on the rest of the league from earlier in the season and as such is very important.

"It will be a true reflection of our standing and the start we have had in the Conference so victory is vital for us."

Matt Clarke, who suffered a cut eye, is expected to be fit as is Danny Williams who suffered a heavy challenge.

Turner said the 2-0 defeat at Burton was a blow but should not take away from their good away record.

"If you put a string of results together away from home you would expect a few defeats and draws so to put together five wins is an impressive record," he said.

Northwich arrive at Hereford on the back of a 4-1 defeat at Scarborough but Jimmy Quinn's side have lost just two from eight away games.

* Hereford have been given a timely boost after being drawn at home to Arlesey Town from the Ryman Division One North in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round on October 26.

Victory will net Turner's side £20,000.

Former Bulls midfielder Andy Theodosiou is a current member of the Arlesey squad enjoying his second spell at the club.
