ACORNS is cracking open the bubbly this week as its appeal to fund a new children's hospice reaches £1.75 million. Fundraising was boosted by a massive £450,000 in September with £29,598 raised in Herefordshire alone.
Community fundraising co-ordinator, Fran Winterbourn, is now appealing for everyone in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire to donate £1.
"In terms of community fundraising, September has been our best month so far. It's really encouraging to see donations rising substantially across the three regions," she said.
