THERESE Gallagher saw what breast cancer did to her mother. So if something as simple as walking could spare others that sight, then walk she would.
When Therese told two friends at The Hereford Times why she was walking they decided to come along too.
So Therese, Julie Hutton and Caroline Simpson will be among some 15,000 women - and 1,000 brave men - donning decorated bras in London next month to start this year's Playtex Moonwalk.
The world's only Power Walking Marathon, the Moonwalk will wind a way through the capital over the early hours of May 10.
All the money raised boosts the fight against breast cancer.
For Therese it's a second time around. Julie and Caroline are making their Moonwalk debut.
As part of an eight-strong syndicate, the three have to raise at least £100 each - while aiming for a lot more.
Anyone ready to help them do so can contact Julie on (01432) 845 839.
