THE Herefordshire in Bloom summertime floral competition officially got underway when Trevor Swindells released a host of flower-shaped balloons into the air above High Town in Hereford.
The competition is open to all and there are five different categories so everyone is encouraged to join in.
The Hereford Times has teamed up with Wyevale Garden Centre to sponsor the event and offer some great prizes.
Trevor Swindells, chairman of Herefordshire in Bloom, said: "This competition is not just about flowers, but also about improving Herefordshire."
