A TEAM from Herefordshire achieved a third-place finish in a fiercely competitive open division indoor fours mixed volleyball tournament at Hereford Leisure Centre.
The 'Hitmen & Her' team from Ross-on-Wye recorded five victories out of eight in the group stages and then bounced back from a semi-final defeat to win a third-place play-off.
The competition attracted eight teams in total, two of which were from Herefordshire, and involved 10 hours' of volleyball with matches lasting between 25 minutes and an hour.
Organiser Dave Ghany, who has recently moved from Miami to Hereford, hopes to arrange another volleyball tournament in September.
Final tournament standings: 1 Hangover Hitters; 2 Bourneside; 3 Ross Hitmen & Her.
