n Kay Cotton and Neville Ovens posted 37 stableford points to hold off the challenge of three other pairs to win the Anniversary Rose Bowl, a mixed foursomes event, at Ross-on-Wye.

Jenny Cooke, 101-28-73, won the Foster Cup, with Leslie Hopkins taking the runners-up spot on 101-24-77.

The Friday nine-hole stableford was won by Gertie Hayward with 22 points.

n Kington's Jean Jones Trophy, a pairs stableford competition, was won by Janet Taylor and Audrey Philpotts with 38 points.

They finished two points clear of ladies' captain Chris Hughes and Janet Williams, with Janet Pennell and Sue Powell three points adrift in third place.
