FESTIVAL -- Parishioners are planning an ambitious event at 13th century Eye Church - a three-day flower festival with the theme 'Poet's Corner.' The festival, over the Bank Holiday weekend of May 24-26, will draw inspiration from a selection of poems, including old and new favourites. There will be something to please everyone. Events raising money for the church will include two concerts. The first is on Friday, May 23, at 8pm when the Severn Singers will entertain. The second is on Saturday, May 24 at 7.30pm and features the Tenbury Town Band. The weekend concludes on Sunday at 6.30pm with a festival songs of praise. Parishioners will be serving cold lunches and refreshments and manning stalls for crafts, preserves, books, plants and bargains at the Cawley Hall where there will also be a daily draw and flower festival quiz.
