ORAL HISTORY GROUP -- The group has received funding, in conjunction with the Archaeology Projects Group, from the Countryside Agency (LHI). To mark the 10th year of existence, the group intends to undertake a series of projects in the forthcoming year. It is hoped to produce some further publications about the local heritage and history of the village, based on information gathered since the publication of their book in 1995 and some additional research. They are also considering the production of another video designed for visitors and tourists showing the history and heritage of the parish. In addition, it is hoped to find a small group to repair a dilapidated horse/pony trap. It could then be displayed. Members also wish to undertake another oral history project and interview local farmers, smallholders and others who may have information and memories about the changes in agricultural methods, opportunities, skills and life-styles over the past century.

RESEARCH -- A communication has been received from someone seeking information about her grandfather. His name was William Gundy and he was born in Hope Under Dinmore in 1895. But he was living in Lower Burton, (Lower Burton Cottages) in 1901. If anyone has any information about him, please contact Paul Selfe who will pass the information on. (01544 388571)

Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome to do so. It is hoped that coaching sessions for juniors will begin in June. The Kwik Cricket Tournament will take place on May 25 from 10am.
