FROM Newcastle Emlyn in Carmarthenshire comes a letter from June Howells who is trying to trace part of her family history.
June is looking for the Powell family, born in Cardiganshire but believed to have moved to Herefordshire during the late 1800s or early 20th century.
The family members are Margaret (born 1867), Anne (1868), David (1872), John (1874), Hannah (1878), Elizabeth (1881) and Mary (1886). All dates are approximate.
If you think any of them also form part of your own family history, June would be delighted to hear from you at Y Faenol, Capel Iwan, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire SA38 9NW.
