DO you have memories of the two American Hospitals based at Foxley near Mansell Lacy during the 1939-45 war?
A Birmingham couple, Martin and Fran Collins, are writing a book about Foxley, the latest in a series about American camps in England during the war and researching details at present.
"We understand that local volunteers helped at the hospital when there was a shortage of American staff and we would like to contact anybody who worked there as one of those volunteers," they write.
"We would like to build up a picture of life at the camp and also in the surrounding area during the war. We are particularly interested in how the Americans interacted with local people."
If you have any memories that you think would be useful, why not drop Martin and Fran a line at 3 Ipswich Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B42 1LY.
