Karlo's 4 Marden 1
THREE late goals gave Karlo's a deserved victory over below-par Marden in the final of the Jewson Herefordshire Sunday League Wye Guild Cup at Edgar Street.
A splendid strike from the outstanding Chris King opened the scoring for Karlo's and the Hereford side held a slender, but worthy, one-goal advantage at the interval.
The experienced Derek Craddock bagged Marden's equaliser in the 72nd minute from an excellent move but Karlo's regained the lead within two minutes after a mistake by the villagers' goalkeeper Jamie Hales.
Marden should have achieved parity soon afterwards but Richie Allman missed a glorious opportunity and the villagers were made to pay when Ben Chambers snapped up Karlo's third goal.
A confident Karlo's side found extra space as Marden pushed players forward and they wrapped up victory with a late fourth goal.
