Marriotts 3 Hereford Lads Club 1
A STRONG second-half showing gave Marriotts the Hereford Times HFL Frank Peterson Cup in a re-arranged final at Painters.
Lads Club almost opened the scoring in the first half when they rattled a post but Marriotts survived and broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the break.
Man-of-the-match Adam White continued to cause problems for the Lads Club defence and his cross was deflected into the net by an opposition defender.
Lads Club responded positively and drew level soon afterwards but Marriotts swiftly seized the initiative, regaining the lead through Pete Richards' close-range effort.
White struck the crossbar with a header as Marriotts continued to have the upper hand in an exciting match. Then Les Bryan sealed the victory with a late third goal.
