ALLPAY collected a trophy in their first season in existence with a slender 1-0 win over higher-graded Ewyas Harold Reserves in the Ross A Cup final in midweek.

The Allpay team had already knocked two higher-graded sides out of the competition and fought hard for their triumph in an exciting final.

The decisive goal arrived with just five minutes of the first half remaining when Jake Hoddle charged down an attempted clearance by the villagers' goalkeeper and the ball ballooned into the top corner.

Allpay also boosted their chances of securing a third-place finish in the Hereford Times Here-fordshire League Division 3 with a 3-2 win at lowly Stoke Prior in their penultimate league match.

Trailing 2-0 with 15 minutes remaining, Allpay hit back strongly and snatched the points with goals from Ben Sockett, Rod Haslam and Jake Hoddle.

Meanwhile, Ross United Services clinched the Division 2 title with three matches remaining after hammering visiting Shobdon 5-2 in a top-of-the-table clash.
