West Midlands League secretary Neil Juggins presented the Hereford-based club with the magnificent 110-year-old championship trophy in front of 200 spectators.

Westfields went into their final league match needing just one point to confirm the crown and they overwhelmed the visitors with goals from leading scorer Paul Burton (2), Matt Beale and Scott Jackson.

Formed in 1966 as a local Sunday morning team, Westfields have made significant progress and will be competing in the Midland Alliance League next season.

Westfields also retained the HFA County Challenge Cup and their chief executive Andy Morris said: "It has been a magnificent season for the club. Our two managers, their staff and the players will go down in the history books as the best squad in our 37 years."

Westfields have become Herefordshire's second most senior side in the pyramid system behind Hereford United.

Following 28 seasons at Rotherwas the club will next season play at their new Moor House ground near Widemarsh Common.
