PUNTERS were left reeling after the first three races at Hereford on Tuesday with wins for 25/1, 33/1 and 20/1 shots, writes Graham Saveker.
Champagne Harry from trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies' yard kicked off the meeting in a novice hurdle with a length-and-a-quarter win over Ullingswick trainer Richard Price's Court Shareef, with the heavily odds-on favourite Maldoun, third.
Another Joker, from the small yard of John Needham at Ludlow, took the Maiden Chase at 33/1, and then Dealer Del, at 20/1, swept home in the Handicap Chase.
Dealer Del was ridden by James Davies, who is taking the conditional jockey ranks by storm, and he used all his skill to get the nine-year-old home threequarters of a length from Commanche Hero, another from the yard of Richard Price.
