The youngsters of the newly-formed Ledbury Youth Theatre are now rehearsing for their first show.
The group meets every week, and will soon be rehearsing twice weekly, for the comedy, Daisy Pulls It Off.
The play, by Denise Deegan, is an affectionate skit on Enid Blyton-type boarding school stories and is set in 1927.
It tells how a girl from a state school wins a scholarship to a posh school for girls. But how will she cope?
Martyn Moxley, head of John Masefield High School Arts College, is producing the play, which has a cast of 15.
Members, aged 14 and over, are being encouraged to take responsibility for music, set, lighting, everything, to help them get a solid grounding in the world of drama.
The show, at the Market Theatre, will run for three days, from June 26.
