TEENAGER Chris Amor bagged an 11-medal haul on his debut appearance at the National Dwarf Games in Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.

The 14-year-old from Clehonger scooped five gold medals, two silvers and four bronzes at the 10th anniversary games of the Dwarf Athletics Association of the UK.

A pupil at the Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School, Chris has a rare and dangerous skeletal condition that reduces his height.

He achieved success in several track and field events, as well as at swimming, basketball, hockey and football in the national event.

Chris has paid a special tribute to Hereford Athletics Club's Tony Williams and Phil Wells for helping him to prepare for his first-ever National Games.

He received coaching in the shot, discus and the javelin - and the move must have paid dividends because the teenager won the under-15 gold medal in all three events.
