HEREFORD Kayak Club member Ted Knight has gained selection for the Great Britain Canoe Slalom Under-16 Team.
The 16-year-old, who lives at Breinton, will be travelling to the Czech Republic for the two-week training camp from July 26.
The Bishop's School pupil was chosen for the Great Britain squad after finishing third overall for his age section from three selection races over Easter.
He has also been busy competing in Division 1 of the British Canoeing Union and is ranked ninth after six races.
Ted, a Ready, Steady, Win bursary recipient, had previously been chosen for the England Under-14 squad, where he raced in Germany and achieved a 12th-placed finish.
