What absolutely marvellous news (Hereford Times, May 15) about the possibility of a consultant with specialist interest in ME holding a weekly clinic in Hereford.
But I feel it is unworthy of Simon Hairsnape to appear to put the blame on John Simpson, public relations officer for the Herefordshire Group, for the PCT's lack of communication.
Our final meeting was on January 27th and, since then, not a word about the proposed clinic has reached us, or that the benefit helpline so sorely needed is up and running, although we requested regular updating.
I do not want to spoil this exciting news but it will raise the spirits for all those seriously ill and housebound to know exactly when this clinic will start.
If this comes about soon, then the Herefordshire Trust will be ahead of many other Trusts in giving support to victims of ME and their families.
