HEREFORDSHIRE recorded three wins and three draws from their eight-match Veterans' Cham-pionship campaign at Clifton College in Bristol.
The lively Polly Bounds had an outstanding tournament, snapping up seven goals in the two-day competition, while Jackie Styles scored three, Coral Handley bagged two and Stella Baker also found the target.
Despite losing just twice, Herefordshire were disappointed to finish in fifth position at the nine-strong competition.
Herefordshire fought back from a two-goal deficit to earn a creditable 2-2 draw against eventual winners Gloucestershire in their opening match, courtesy of strikes from Bounds and Styles.
They then shared a goalless draw with Wiltshire, lost 2-1 to Avon and 3-2 to Dorset before bouncing back to record a 2-0 win over Cornwall in their fifth match of the day.
Herefordshire drew 2-2 with Devon in their first match of the second day and rounded off with back-to-back 2-0 victories over the Channel Islands and Somerset.
