NEARLY 200 acres of apple orchards will be going, going, gone on Friday as Humberts Estate Agents take best and final offers for land in Moorhampton and Hereford.
The Worcester Diocese land is being sold with a guide price of £2,500 per acre for the 67 acres in Moorhampton and £3,000 per acre for the 115 acres at Farm Field on the Hampton Bishop Road.
The difference in price is due to the Farm Field site being just outside the city limits, having what estate agents call 'a perceived long-term development potential'.
Anthony Champion at Humberts said: "There has been a tremendous amount of interest in both pieces of the land.
"We expect to exceed the guide price on both plots."
The land has recently been released by Bulmers who were leasing both areas for apple production.
