A MAJOR housing development is planned for the former Norman's Supermarket site at Withington.
There has been much speculation over the future of the site following the closure of a garden centre, supermarket and cut-price clothing store during the past 18 months.
Now Jennings Homes Ltd and Plymouth & SW Ltd have submitted plans to Herefordshire Council for 33 detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.
The proposal also includes the demolition of the former supermarket, new access roads, a public open space with children's play area, and a village store.
Withington Group Parish Council called a public meeting for residents to discuss the plans at the village hall on Tuesday evening.
