CITY businessman and deputy Herefordshire Council leader George Hyde has had three break-ins in two weekends at his city tool hire factories.
After a double break-in at Hereford Fastenings and Tool Hire, Rotherwas, and Hereford Industrial Supply, Three Elms, last weekend, Mr Hyde had a third break-in on Sunday.
He said: "They smashed the front door in, broke some internal doors and windows and took a considerable amount of power tools."
The Rotherwas factory was robbed on Saturday, September 6. Thieves struck at Three Elms the following day and again on Sunday. "It's not good news. We are trying to run a business and provide a service. But rather like the Palladium, the show will go on. We have a big open day this Friday and Saturday," added coun Hyde. Existing security is being increased.
